Welcome to
University of Bristol Lacrosse!
Bristol Lacrosse enjoys success at all levels.
In 2008 and 2009 the Men's BUCS team were best in the West of England and reached the semi and quarterfinals of national championships. The 2010 season saw them build on this success by reaching the quaterfinals again as well as getting promoted into an all new men's premiership, joining the Women's 1st team in the country's top clubs. The Women's 2nd team also enjoyed success in 2010 and won the West of England league.
Strong passion and commitment is shown throughout the club, whether it's by the 3 trainings per week for the BUCS teams or the huge numbers that turn up to the Mixed sessions every week.
As well as providing a challenge for experienced players, we regularly turns some first-timers into first team BUCS players within the first year.
Our Men's BUCS captain had never so much as picked up a lacrosse stick until 2007!
We takes part in exciting tournemounts such as Freshers Fest, Blues Fest, Bath 8s and the annual Dublin tour! This summer we also hosted a pre-season match with the national Dutch team and will be playing in the 2010 Manchester World Championships university competition!
Unlike many of Bristol Universities other successful sports we encourage socialising just as much as training.
